Principal Message

Dear parents and students,

Good morning! The new school year has begun, and we have weathered the typhoon on September 1st. Originally, I was looking forward to welcoming everyone at the school gate on September 1st, but due to the weather, we had a few more days of rest, and we officially started school yesterday (September 4th).

First of all, on behalf of all the teachers and staff of the school, I would like to welcome all the students back and embrace the new year of learning and challenges together.

In the new school year, I particularly hope that all students can learn humility and serve others. Serving means helping and caring for others, regardless of our own identities or the positions and status of others. We should learn to help and serve one another.

In fact, Jesus is our role model for learning. There is a story in the Bible about Him serving others. In John 13, it is mentioned that Jesus washed the feet of His disciples during the Last Supper before the Passover. Why did Jesus, the teacher of the disciples, wash their feet? In verses 14-15, it says, "Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you." Washing feet was one of the most menial tasks in a family during Jesus' time, usually performed by the lowest-ranking servant. Yet, Jesus chose to personally wash the feet of His disciples, demonstrating humility and a servant's attitude. This reminds us that as Christians, as students, we should not only focus on our own needs and interests, but also serve one another.

What can we do in school? For example, actively clean the campus environment by picking up trash, cleaning tables and chairs, etc.; voluntarily help classmates solve homework problems; obey teachers and respect classmates; or in group or team activities, not necessarily being the main character, but being willing to support and assist the whole group for its success. In this big family called school, each person should care, help, and support one another with a humble attitude. Whether it is a teacher or a student, we all have our unique talents and responsibilities. I hope that everyone can strive to do well, bring out their abilities, and use love and a proactive serving mindset to help one another and grow together.

I believe that each student has unlimited potential. As long as we are willing to try, study hard, and face daily challenges with humility and a willing service attitude, we can step by step surpass ourselves and achieve our dreams. The Bible says, "The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want." (Psalm 23:1) I want to encourage everyone that whether we are serving others or facing challenges, we are not alone, because God is with us. He is our guide and strength. When we serve others with a humble heart, we are also serving God; when we face challenges with confidence, we are also trusting in God's guidance. Let us believe in God's promises and walk firmly in His will, and we will experience more spiritual and academic growth in the new school year.

May God's blessings and grace be with us always! Let us embrace the new year with joy, contentment, and humility.
