Information Technology: Teaching Objectives

Teaching Objectives
1. Developing our students’ skills and attitudes towards information technology application.
2. Allowing our students to learn about new technology and all the convenience that comes with it.
3. Develop our student’s computational thinking (CT) skills.

Phase One for Primary 1~3
Through the programme, our students learn to use computers and relevant devices, understand the extensive application of information technologies in their daily lives, and take information technologies as a tool for learning.
Knowledge Enrichment: Engaging our students in the learning of common information technology tools, including their names and their functions.
Skill Enhancement: Allowing our students to operate school computers, type in Chinese and English, improve their learning with the use of multimedia, and master the basic concept of computational thinking skills.
Attitude Development: Arousing our students’ interest and developing their right attitude towards using information technology, working with their classmates as a team, and making good use of information technology.

Phase Two for Primary 4~6

Through the programme, our students learn to use information technology to assist with their learning, acquire information through computer network, develop skills for basic data processing, and improve their communication skills for collaborative learning. Our students also learn to pay attention to all kinds of issues derived from the application of information technology.

Knowledge Enrichment: Engaging our students in the learning of information technology applications such as cloud computing, 3D printing, video editing, graphic design, AR, VR, and drones.

Skill Enhancement: Engaging our students in word processing, computing, graphic design, and other learning activities with the use of different software, typing in Chinese and English, data acquisition through computer networks and other media, data processing with the use of information technology, and problem-solving with their computational thinking skills.

Attitude Development: Engaging our students in the learning of intellectual property rights, copyrights, and confidentiality of personal information, preventing bad influence from computer networks or other media, protecting themselves while using the Internet, and developing a good attitude for using information technologies.
